BLOSSOM (V): TO BEGIN TO THRIVE OR FLOURISH
I help people who have experienced abusive relationships and are trying to recover. I help people that have experienced a recent break-up and are having a hard time coping. I help people who have patterns of choosing distant partners or partners that aren't working for them. If you are struggling with any of these things I would like to support you on your journey of healing and understanding where these things stem from so that you can feel whole again.
Sometimes life can be incredibly challenging. Some days you may not feel like getting out of bed. Some days you may cry with seemingly no explanation. Some days you feel helpless or hopeless or worthless. I hope to be of support so that those days feel a little less dark. Sometimes we experience worry that is exhausting and difficult to control. Sometimes our brain feels like it never shuts down and we can't sleep or concentrate. Sometimes the thoughts feel intrusive. Sometimes the fear may feel paralyzing. I hope that I can help you learn to befriend that anxiety, get to know it, understand it, and let it have less control.
In life things happen that are out of our control that cause fear. Sometimes these things happen directly to us and sometimes to those around us. Maybe it feels like your fault, maybe you feel hatred and anger, maybe you feel nothing at all. I have training in working with trauma and could be of assistance to you in healing your trauma experiences.
I once read an article that called desert flowers “the ultimate survivors” and while I do not disagree with this, as a therapist, I believe I have witnessed people being the ultimate survivor. Sometimes the environment in which we stem from or in which we live in, does not feel like it supports growth. A person’s ability to survive through the worst of circumstances has always been something that keeps me in awe of the human spirit; in the same way we can be in awe of the desert flowers that manage to thrive in the desert. I believe that giving people the right support, acceptance, unconditional regard, compassion, and non-judgement, while in therapy, creates an environment in which they begin to trust in their ability to grow. For all things, growth takes time, and it is my hope that therapy is the first step of your growth. I believe that through therapy I can support you in creating an internal environment in which
you can
thrive and flourish.
