BLOSSOM (V): TO BEGIN TO THRIVE OR FLOURISH
Anxiety can show up in a lot of different ways - overthinking, constant worry, trouble relaxing - and it can be exhausting. I work with people to better understand their anxiety, find ways to cope and feel more in control of their lives.
Life doesn't always go as planned, and sometimes things happen that leave us feeling afraid, overwhelmed, or disconnected. I have specialized training in trauma focused therapy and am here to support you in processing and healing those experiences.
I once read an article that called desert flowers “the ultimate survivors” and while I do not disagree with this, as a therapist, I believe I have witnessed people being the ultimate survivor. Sometimes the environment in which we stem from or in which we live in, does not feel like it supports growth. A person’s ability to survive through the worst of circumstances has always been something that keeps me in awe of the human spirit; in the same way we can be in awe of the desert flowers that manage to thrive in the desert. I believe that giving people the right support, acceptance, unconditional regard, compassion, and non-judgement, while in therapy, creates an environment in which they begin to trust in their ability to grow. For all things, growth takes time, and it is my hope that therapy is the first step of your growth. I believe that through therapy I can support you in creating an internal environment in which
you can
thrive and flourish.
